AIGA-Salt Lake City Chapter Event Mailer.

Design: Christian Hansen [H2 Design].

This two color piece printed pro-bono just won an award for the AIGA's best of the west, juried design awards. When it came down to the wire I hand-fed 1200 of this piece through the platen press 7 times [just to give the small type less ink and the big type more ink and the hairlines just the perfect amount of ink—and one run due to the AIGA logo being knocked out and too small and looking just plain bad. So I took the AIGA type from the back and put it at the bottom of the text on the front—talk about designing/printing on the fly!].

This piece is literally hot off the press! just finished this morning. A great two color design. Featured here is the announcement and the address. The size is 6x6 square. The couple's names look great in the middle in a large handwriting typeface. Also pictured below is a three-fold card with a perforated postcard for guests to rsvp for dinner. This tri-fold piece goes in a rectangular box along with a 3x5 picture of the couple. The 6x6 card actually had a different picture that was square as well. The groom, who designed the piece, put the box tops through a vise along with a metal plate with the date of their wedding. Quite innovative. Of course we did the letterpress printing. We really get a kick out of working with creative clients to make their dreams come true. This job was a pleasure to print. See the tri-fold below.
